Roni and Brendan // RANCHO DE LAS PALMAS WEDDING

Roni & Brendan met at SDSU and became college sweethearts. Through their years in Greek life & their years in real life (post college,) they grew closer and closer together.

Brendan likes to shoot videos, so Roni saw nothing strange about him filming a moment they shared at a lookout in Hawaii last year until he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!

When I walked into Roni’s bridal suite the morning of her wedding, I thought I’d walked into a prep room for models in a bridal magazine. Roni & her bridesmaids are some of the most BEAUTIFUL (not to mention kind, funny, & loving) women I’d ever seen.. and taking photos of them all day was a breeze & an honor.

When I met up with Brendan & his groomsmen, they were already drinking Smirnoff Ices on one knee & slapping each other’s butts. I knew it’d be a freakin’ phenomenal & hysterical day from the get-go.

Well, I was right and a half. Roni & Brendan have such a care-free and fun relationship, and their entire wedding day reflected that. Brendan is a constant jokester and Roni is supportive and laughs even when whatever he did happened to embarrass her in front of 200 of their closest family and friends—IE: dipping her SO LOW during their first kiss as husband and wife that he almost dropped her on the floor, and later RIPPING OFF his pants to reveal a USA speedo & give Roni a lap-dance before retrieving her garter. I truly don’t think I’ve laughed so much in one day EVER. It was the best.

Israeli relatives who came from the other side of the pond danced the night away on their beautiful dance floor, custom cigars were enjoyed on the patio, and family and friends were treated to cornhole, giant Tic Tac Toe, and about 7 kinds of the best desserts I’d ever had. Roni & Brendan did NOT hesitate to smash frosting in each other’s faces after cutting their cake, Brendan’s dad roasted him in a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation citing the most embarrassing memories of his young life, and a friend’s baby donned the cutest headphones as he danced with his mama on the dance floor. Every detail was wonderful, magical, and unbelievably hysterical. I had many moments where I said to myself, “I can’t believe this if my job.”
