Cheyenne & Therin // Colorful Summer Jeune Perche Wedding

I couldn’t be more excited to share photos from the vibrant, joyful wedding of Cheyenne & Therin. These two are known by their friends as the “good time crew,” known by me as "the best people planet Earth has to offer,” and known by ALL as “two slices of literal human sunshine.” This incredible couple was such a treat to work with, and they couldn’t have picked a more stunning place to get married than Jeune Perche, an elegant new Tuscany-inspired venue near San Diego.

I knew immediately after reading Cheyenne’s first email that I had to be a part of her & Therin’s celebration. The positivity, light-heartedness, and jubilance this woman exhibits even in a freakin’ email is pure magic. When we eventually met for the first time at her wedding, my suspicions were confirmed- she’s the absolute best.

Upon arriving at Jeune Perche, I was in awe of the unique architecture, flawless landscaping, and relaxed European vibe of the space; it sure didn’t feel like a random pocket of Fallbrook! I met Carrie from Blushing Weddings & Events (who also did a STUNNING job on the floral design) and got a little tour of the epic space. Then, after hearing a little birdy say “Saarraaa is that youuu!!!” from upstairs, I headed up a sprawling staircase to greet Cheyenne. Within seconds, I felt like I’d known her forever. The combination of her warmth, gentleness, and megawatt smile disarms you & makes her completely magnetic. Similarly, Therin has a soft kindness to him that puts everyone at ease. Together, these two were a dream and a half to photograph, and I quickly grew to adore their wonderful family & friends too.

The entire day was honestly just seamless & perfect. It contained the most beautiful balance of effortless lightness & meaningful depth. I was so moved by the countless personal touches in honor of Cheyenne’s late mother: all pink everything (her favorite color) for the florals & family attire, butterflies embroidered on the bride’s ornate dress, and real butterflies released during the couple’s ceremony. In a tear-jerking, emotional moment, I watched as one of the butterflies landed on Cheyenne’s dress, one landed by her father’s feet, and one landed on Cheyenne’s mom’s best friend’s hand. Guests could feel the love & presence of the bride’s mom throughout the entire day.

Photographing C & T was like hanging out with old friends. From the time I met them, they embraced me like one of their own. Their intimate wedding parties & families were as kind and loving as could be, and the day was overflowing with SO much laughter and good energy. Their infectious joy & love is palpable, and BOY do they know how to party. Have you ever seen an 8pm espresso-martini-power-hour, where dozens of coffee-infused cocktails are brought out bottle-service style onto a wedding dance floor? Me NEITHER. The vibes were immaculate & I found myself feeling REALLY sad when this day was over. I left feeling grateful to have crossed paths with the Heryfords, and filled with so much gratitude that I got to third-wheel their gorgeous wedding day!
