Alycia & Caitlin // Padre Long Beach Wedding

Four years ago, Alycia saw Caitlin working at a Vitamin Shoppe store and immediately had a crush on her. A few days later, she went in to buy protein bars (which she never ate) and gave Caitlin her phone number on a Post-It. In true 2015 form, Caitlin texted Alycia and the rest is history.

Cait and I have been friends since 6th grade! Back then, we were both part of a cohort of pals who spent our better days eating Taco Bell at the park, trick-or-treating annually in a group of 30 strong, and using every middle school lunch period to prank each other and goof around. I have such fond memories of growing up with Cait, and have always admired her unwavering positivity and kindness, and her ability to make everyone and anyone comfortable in her presence. Also, her smile makes my heart melt. But that’s neither here nor there.

I was thrilled to meet Alycia last summer when she and Cait attended our mutual friend Sarah’s wedding! I even took a few photos of the newly-engaged couple and had some time to get to know the beautiful woman who would be Cait’s life partner in crime. Then and now, these two are effortlessly joyful together, smiling and laughing constantly. It’s amazing to see friends you’ve known for 15 years find their person!

Alycia & Cait got married on the rooftop of a MAGICAL (& aesthetically cool as frick) restaurant / bar in Long Beach surrounded by all of their family and friends. It was a sunny, breezy, perfect afternoon, and under a triangular arch that they hand-made, they said “I do” and exchanged rings. The ceremony was simple, personal, and quick—my kinda wedding! Guests drank delicious custom cocktails and ate scrumptious street tacos while mingling and celebrating with the brides.

Congratulations to Alycia & Caitlin. I am so grateful I got to be a part of your celebration and wish you ALL of the happiness, love, and tacos this life has to offer.
