Cassie & Christian // Malibu Elopement

If your question is, “Should we elope in Malibu with Sara as our only witness & officiant & photographer?!?!…” My answer will ALWAYS be yes. I’ll make you a tiny bouquet from Trader Joes & I’ll be there in a jiff.

On a chilly Friday afternoon, facing a forecast of "thunder & lightening possible," these two wildly-in-love cuties & I headed down to Malibu to get them married—rain or shine (or thunder and lightening). We were greeted by an empty, quiet beach, & we all hiked down the cliffs towards the crashing waves.

When we made it down to the damp sand, C & C picked the perfect rock to serve as a backdrop for their mini-ceremony. I thanked the seagulls for joining us to celebrate the union of two lovely beings, & the couple settled in, held hands, & looked into one another’s eyes. They shared vows off the top of their heads, laughed until they teared up, and promised to love each other forever & ever. I pronounced them husband & wife to the birds & the wind, and they shared a first kiss as husband & wife.

After their lil ceremony, the three of us spent some time running (for warmth) around the beach and celebrating their sweet love. Looking like editorial models in the wild, we captured these young lovers in personality-encompassing photos I’m hopeful their two daughters will look fondly back at when they grow up.

This evening was pretty dang special, and a *~job~* I'll never ever forget. Minister Sarebear's first wedding, and some of my favorite photos ever.
