TIffany & Andy // Butterfly Beach Montecito Proposal
After 16 (!!!) wonderful years as boyfriend + girlfriend, my sweet friend and her handsome man are finally ENGAGED!
Tiffany is an amaaaazing wedding planner and coordinator who I’ve been lucky enough to work with for the past seven-ish years. We met at one of the most chaotic weddings in history (I’m talking… the bride was sewn into her dress 15 minutes before walking down the aisle because, when she tried on her original dress the night before, it was totally botched). Chaos and falling champagne towers aside, Tiffany was my rock that day, and she’s been my go-to planner to recommend ever since. Together, we’ve collaborated on weddings big and small across Southern California.
Well, well WELL, her day finally came! Last month, Andy slid into my Instagram DMs to ask if I had any free weekends coming up. I just about screamed… and I did offer to swiftly fly home from Greece depending on his proposal timeline. Luckily, his schedule was flexible, so we set a date and started plotting!
On a perfect, sunny Sunday afternoon, I donned a ridiculous disguise (a neon orange bucket hat and a face mask) and headed to gorgeous Butterfly Beach in Montecito to capture my girl’s proposal.
Andy’s plan went off without a hitch. As the sun began to set, the couple strolled over to a stunning floral arch made by Tiffany’s friend at Camarillo Flower Shop. Andy told Tiffany how much he loved her, wiped his tears, and dropped to one knee. After sixteen short years, Tiff said yes! We celebrated with a romp down the beach before her family arrived to surprise her. Her little nephew SPRINTED down the coast into her arms, congratulating his auntie on her engagement. Her mom couldn’t hold back tears as she hugged her daughter — it was all just the sweetest.
After the sun set, I headed over to a surprise dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant. Tiffany was completely shocked when she walked in and saw all their loved ones, including her best friend, who flew in just for the evening’s celebration. It was pure magic, and I’m so happy that the woman who has planned hundreds of weddings now gets to plan her own!!!!
