Cassie & Christian // Intimate Thousand Oaks Backyard Wedding

3 years after eloping on the beach in Malibu with me as their “officiant” and some seagulls as their witnesses, Cassie & Christian finally got the big, beautiful wedding celebration of their dreams.

The couple shares three kiddos—two beautiful daughters and one HAM of a little boy—and after shifting their wedding plans in 2020, their daughters never forgot that they lost out on the opportunity to be flower girls. After the girls expressed their desire to fulfill their destined wedding roles ~398 times, Cassie and Christian realized it would be incredibly special to have the party with their loved ones that they originally envisioned.

Hosted in Cassie’s father’s home, 100 of the couple’s favorite people gathered together to watch C & C share meaningful vows & make things official… again. :)

Ready and flower-crowned, their daughters NAILED their job as flower girls. Their adorable son, carried by Christian’s brother, was the cutest ring bearer on earth. The sweet duo, reflecting on 3 wonderful years of marriage, read personal vows to one another that detailed the depth of their relationship, the extent of their unwavering admiration for one another, the incredible family they created together, and their many promises for the future.

I feel so lucky to have gotten to walk along C & C through their engagement, their original wedding planning journey, their intimate elopement, and ultimately their sunny, magical wedding celebration. By their big wedding day, I felt like just another guest at their wedding watching my two cherished friends re-commit themselves to one another. There were SO many tears, so much laughter, and SOOOO many kiddos running around creating a really light & magical evening. The tomfoolery of the kids was so entertaining, and looking over to see what they were doing in the corner during each event (ie “flower-petaling” people with handfuls of rose petals every 10 min) was one of my favorite parts of the day. :’)

On that blissfully warm afternoon, & filled to the BRIM with love, Cassie & Christian finally got to celebrate their marriage with their families and closest friends, and I got to eat wedding food that made me tear UP because it tasted like heaven (shout-out to the couple for hiring the best chef ever!!!

Cassie & Christian, I’ll see you at wedding 3.0!!!!

Jk, love you. ♡
