Travis & Ashley // Spring Wedding at The Genevieve Hotel

Travis & Ashley’s sunny spring wedding at The Genevieve Hotel was intimate, warm, and whimsical. Opting for a small celebration with just family and very close friends, this day was completely stress-free and full of so many little pockets of joy and goodness.

When I met A & T for the first time (for a little lunch date the week of their wedding), I knew immediately that I was in for a good time. It quickly became clear that they were remarkably easygoing, the perfect counterbalance to one another, and genuinely kind-hearted. That following weekend, family and friends gathered on the most GORGEOUS day in Santa Ynez to witness their wedding. With a breeze softly drifting through the willow trees and the constant, precious sound of kids running around and laughing, the Boothman wedding felt almost dream-like.

Ashley got ready with her sister, her best friend, and her mom, collaborating with her closest people to do her own hair and makeup. Dancing around to ABBA all morning, the energy in the bridal suite was simultaneously electric and light. Travis got ready downstairs in a masculinely decorated, leather-adorned space with his brothers and his mom, taking in quiet moments as a family… and playing a little chess, too!

When the couple first saw each other and shared private vows, they couldn’t keep tears from escaping their eyes. I didn’t even realize I was holding my breath in a subconscious effort not to disrupt the delicate energy between them. After their vows, we explored around The Genevieve for some portraits, and I was struck by how effortless they were in front of the camera! I think Ashley’s true calling might be to become a supermodel…

The rest of the day unfolded seamlessly and with such calm and ease. No moment felt rushed, and every interaction between the couple & their closest people had a clear and vivid depth of love and an authentic, undeniable jubilance. Guests so clearly felt the weight and preciousness of the day, and every VIP in attendance had such a reverence and enthusiasm for what the wedding symbolized for this couple.

The ceremony was officiated flawlessly by a dear friend, whose storytelling added a rich layer of personal history to the celebration. Now officially husband and wife, Ashley and Travis spent golden hour mingling with their guests and basking in the sunset. The celebration then moved to The Genevieve’s Coach House, where the evening opened with a champagne tower, a shared dinner, and a series of heartfelt toasts.

Later on, every single guest danced their hearts out (for real, EVERYONE ages 0-70 was on the dance floor the entire night). The couple cut their cake, toasted to their life as newlyweds, and took celebratory shots. The dance floor concluded with a big, loving dance circle. Guests wrapped their arms around each other and the couple and sang together at the top of their lungs. And that’s… the good stuff.

This wedding celebration was perfect in every way, and I had such a wonderful time capturing it all!!
