Adrian & Lauren // Thousand Oaks Engagement Session

Lauren & Adrian met in college in Michigan, and after several years of NYC / LA long distance, Lauren moved out to California to work as a nurse and start her life with Adrian. Soon after, he proposed with her great great grandmother’s ring that had been in her family for over 100 years. It’s one of the most beautiful diamonds I’ve seen in my LIFE, so you’ll notice a lot of photos of it in here—which are also great because Lauren has real dreams of becoming a hand model..

I was so excited when Lauren & Adrian agreed to drive up to Thousand Oaks to shoot their engagement photos, even though we were half-worried it was going to pour rain all day. These two are SO down to earth, fun as heck, and were seriously down for anything. With tequila and onesies in hand, we headed to Mt. Boney in Newbury Park for their engagement session.

One of the cooler parts of my job (though.. most of it is pretty dang cool) is meeting clients who instantly feel like friends. Lauren & Adrian and I got along from the start, and it honestly felt like I was taking photos of old pals. Their goofy ease with each other was a freakin’ blast to capture, and I couldn’t stop laughing while going through and editing their gallery (Adrian’s tongue was out in every other photo).

ANYWAY I love them to pieces and I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I wish their wedding wasn’t so far away in October!

****YOU MUST SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS ALBUM to see them running through the street in adult onesies. I can’t deal.
