Sabrina & Oliver // Thousand Oaks Engagement Session

Hello & welcome to one of my favorite engagement sessions of all-flippin’-time. :’)

When I first met Sabrina last year—at a wedding where she was a bridesmaid—we rather quickly realized we were soul friends and were meant to be in each other's lives. We proceeded to text 12 hours a day as though we were in the honeymoon phase of dating, find time for socially distant park hangs with cheese and donuts galore, and somehow managed to forge a deep, hilarious friendship during a turbulent pandemi-lovato.

My sweet Sabrina met her prince Oliver while they were in college, and they’ve spent 6 and a half beautiful years together. They have a puppy-son together—a gorgeous angel golden retriever named Kobe—and the easiest, most care-free love for one another.

Everything about their relationship juuust makes sense and flows naturally like a quiet river. Oliver is handsome, calm, easy-going, kind, and warm. Sabrina is drop-dead-gorgeous inside & out, joyfully electric, cosmically hilarious, gently soft-hearted, and deeply caring. Their energy together is tangibly and purely loving. At Christmastime, their house smells like cinnamon and pine. But that’s neither here nor there..

Because he is a smart man and knew how LUCKY he would be to have Sabrina as his wife, Oliver got down on one knee last fall under a gazebo and asked her to marry him. He forgot to invite me, but I have since CONSIDERED forgiving him. We’ll see.

My love for Sabrina burns like the sun, and when she texted me on a random afternoon letting me know she booked a *very soon approaching* wedding date, we got STRAIGHT to planning her engagement sesh with Mr. Olly Bun.

A few months ago, these two lovebirds showed up looking like a Tuck Everlasting DREAM duo, and we spent an evening in the mountains blasting hip hop from a speaker in my pocket + capturing their magical connection. I said & yelled things that I am very glad are not recorded anywhere, and the whole session was too damn good to be true.

What the heck. I am so lucky to know these two and to call this a job. I cannot wait for their wedding next month!!
