Shelby & Joey // San Francisco Engagements

I GOT TO TAKE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS FOR MY PALS AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

Shelby & Joey met while we all went to college at Chapman University, and have been effortlessly cute as sh*t and lovely together from the start. I remember seeing them stroll around campus holding hands, dressing up to attend Greek events together, and sitting around campus chatting between classes. They were #couplegoals from day 1, and Joey even lavaliered Shelby in front of his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta.

When Shelby was a senior, we took some graduation photos to commemorate her finishing up her time at Chapman. At the session, Joey joined for about 10 minutes at the end, and the photos looked SO much like engagement photos that Shelby put #NotEngaged in each of her captions when she posted the images. LOL WELL 3 little years later, Shelby & Joey got engaged at a romantic dinner in Bali and NOW I got the chance to take REAL engagement photos for them!!

It was such a blast traveling to San Francisco—where these two have made a post-grad, real-adult life together—and capturing images for them in their new hood. San Francisco is one of my favorite places on this earth, so going to Lands End for their photos was a TREAT.

These photos are some of my favorites for 9384 reasons but mainly because 1) Joey and Shelby BELONG together and I’ve known it from the start, and 2) because I’ve always dreamt of taking (real) engagement photos for them! Their love absolutely radiates and I think it’s clear when you see the way they look at each other.
