Becky & Sean // Malibu Engagement Session

Over a decade ago, Becky & Sean were just two high school kids who had no idea the other existed. When they eventually met via mutual friends, Becky set her sights on Sean, thinking she might want to be more than friends. She boldly made the first “move…” by * POKING * Sean on Facebook. Nothing says early 2000s teenage love like a good old fashioned Facebook poke… 

After meeting and hitting it off, (and to continue the deeply corny teen romance vibes), Sean officially asked Becky to be his girlfriend by baking a cake that said “Be Mine.” Ever since that fated cake, the two have been inseparable. 

In the years that followed, they worked at a summer camp outside of Yosemite, spent time as a couple traveling, hiking, and camping, and survived four years of long-distance while in college. They ping-ponged between their respective universities, memorizing each speed bump and billboard along the 3-4 hour drive. They attended countless fraternity & sorority functions at one another’s schools, and fell deeper in love throughout college and beyond.

On their TEN YEAR anniversary, Sean proposed to Becky on a winery rooftop as the sun set. She said yes. They’ve now been together for 11 whole years, and are getting married this May!!!

I met this beautiful couple for the first time down in Malibu to celebrate their decade of togetherness with some engagement photos. Their session was lighthearted and FUN—they are the kindest, most relaxed duo and are SO easy to get along with & to laugh with. From basking in the glow of the stunning sunset up on the cliffs, to romping around the beach, I had such a great time getting to know these two & capturing their sweet love. 

I cannot wait to celebrate with these cuties this summer!
