Heather & Ricardo // Malibu Honeymoon Session

Heather & Ricardo met a few years ago on the set of a dentistry commercial. This info came as no surprise, as they are clearly two of the best-looking humans on Earth and both have 10/10 smiles.

I met up with this beautiful duo at my favorite beach in Malibu for a honeymoon session! H & R live in Florida, and were visiting Malibu for the first time for a week of fun, sun, & newly-wedded bliss. It was so enlightening spending time with them at a beach I shoot at so often—their excitement and amazement at the location’s beauty helped me see it with fresh eyes! I realized I can sometimes become desensitized to the insane gorgeousness of SoCal, as I have spent my whole life here!

We were met with a few funny obstacles—namely high tide + a crowded evening on the coast. Regardless, we all leaned in to the hilarity of high-tide + the dance of working around dozens of other photoshoots. These two were total troopers! Wet pants / dresses couldn’t hinder the fun this shoot brought, and we were all in awe as the sunset perfectly ended our evening with glowy, red-orange light.

The funniest part of this shoot came once I delivered the photos to the couple. Heather texted me, telling me that after seeing the photos, Ricardo said “you know how you buy a picture frame from a store and there’s a fake picture inside already.. before you put in your own picture?! THAT’S what our pictures look like—too beautiful to be true.” And that, folks, is the best piece of feedback I’ve EVER gotten.
